Webinar on "Auditing Europe’s largest rail infrastructure project - Crossrail"

A webinar on Auditing Europe’s largest rail infrastructure project - Crossrail  (Co-organizers :  Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors and the Civil and the Materials Divisions of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers) will be held on 24 September 2022 (Saturday), 9:30am – 11:30am at James Chiu Room, the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Causeway Bay.

Programme Highlight

Overview of the auditing practices on construction projects in the rail sector within the United Kingdom. Highlights includes audit approach on Crossrail, challenges faced by auditors, case study reflecting on the importance of quality assurance, key fundamentals of audits in demonstrating progressive assurance throughout the course of project lifecycle and success factors which underpins project delivery.

Speaker

Mr Andy YEUNG is a Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) and fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors (FHKICA) and the Chartered Quality Institute (FCQI), as well as Member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology and is registered Principal Auditor with the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA). Mr. Yeung was headhunted from UK by MTR in 2019 to spearhead the handling of the Commission of Inquiry into the Shatin-Central-Link quality incident and as advisor to top management leading the investigation. Currently, Mr. Yeung is managing the Engineering Assurance Section involved with the “Second of Defence” on all future new line extension projects and developing good practices and techniques in supporting the Corporation’s “Centre of Excellence”.
